OFFSET PRINTING

Offset printing is a printing technology that uses metal plates, to transfer an image onto a rubber “blanket”, which in turn rolls the image onto a sheet of paper. It is referred to as “offset” because the ink is not transferred directly onto the paper, but instead from a “rubber blanket” to the paper.

The offset process is a lithographic process. Lithography is a process based on the repulsion of oil and water.

When there is a need for higher-volume printing. It only becomes economical when the quantity of copies required exceeds 2000+ copies.

LETTERPRESS PRINTING

This printing technique remained the primary form of printing until the mid-20th century. It uses movable type usually produced in a mixture of lead, tin and antimony or off letterpress blocks which are always made to type high.

Our letterpress is mostly used for die-cutting and creasing of high-quality finishing of jobs that have been printed on offset and digital machines. We can print all sizes of letterpress from 25mm x 25mm sheets up to A1 sheets (640mm x 900mm).

LARGE FORMAT PRINTING

Large Format Printing technology uses digital printing anywhere from A0 to A8 in size, perfect for promotional material.

If the printed material output is wider than 45 cms. Wide-format printers usually support a maximum print roll width of between approximately 1 metre and 2.5 metres.

DIGITAL PRINTING

Digital printing is best described as a printing method whereby a digital-based image, usually from a computer screen, which is in-turn printed directly onto paper or other suitable substrates.

When your required output quantity is between 1 and 2000 printed copies. Because no plates and ink are required for this type of printing, initial setup costs are cheaper compared to offset printing. Only when you require 2000+ copies of something, do we recommend you use our offset printing services.
